Xbox One Elite controller disassembly?

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted in a long time, hope you are all ok.

I wanted to ask how I would remove the joysticks on the Xbox one elite controller please? The outermost buttons on these sticks are magnetic which fit onto a stalk and dome thing that has a quarter turn screw in the top of the stalk.

That's different ,is that a v2 controller? I have never opened my v2 elite controllers, only the regular XB1 controllers. Maybe there's a guide on the web.

Might be a V2, I'm not really into Xbox, it's a repair job for one of our customers at work. It says Model 1797 on the info sticker.

Thank you Watson, it was almost a two-pipe mystery. That did the trick, they unscrew, normal thread.

Just for future reference and anyone looking to do the same. Here's a photo of the part removed.

However... after getting this far I was unable to remove the solder holding the old switches in place. Not sure what type of solder it is, but nothing like I'm used to working with. I even went up to 450°.
