Ya' Like it Retr0?
Hello my fellow AmiBay'ers
Today I put back into the wild my trusty XSurf 2 thats no longer needed
(stock photo: thanks to amiga.resource.cx)
Xsurf 2 supports 10Mbit Ethernet via a standard RJ45 connection
History
I got this card a few years ago and she has had flawless operation in my A2000 (equipped with GVP 040) Using Genesis TCP/IP stack she has been a real trooper hooking up to my SAMBA network and PC Workgroup Shares.
My A2000 system would boot from the 2GB SCSI disk and then continue loading from the 60GB (SFS Formatted) 2.5" IDE disk drive from the XSurf, which has a faster throughput than the GVP SCSI controller.
So if you are wondering what to get yourself for this holiday season, and you fancy a little retro - then this could be the card for you.
All of this can be yours for the princely sum of £120 + Postage (I will cover the PayPal fee's)
