Could someone please explain the difference between big ram plus 256mb and zor ram 256mb. Is there a difference on speed, can you put multiple sticks in for each type and is there any benefit using one or the other ?
I would be using a3000 desktop initially and may upgrade to mediator busboard and PCI cards later on dependant on how it will affect my a3640 cards with either 68040 full CPU 's or 68060 cpu's?

Technically they are the same but have a different version of the controlling software -> different timings. While BigRamPlus is considered more compatible it's not always the case (for example I traded out a ZorRam for someone who needed memory to work with his Cyberstorm MK I which doesn't work with BigRamPlus). BigRamPlus is physically huge as it's single sided compared to the double sided ZorRam so you might have issues fitting multiple cards in to an expanded Mediator setup. I think both cards are compatible with A3640 but the A3000 itself could affect that. I would say that having an A3640 upgraded to 060 shouldn't make a difference in compatibility.

I have the combo 3640 CPU card with 68060 and Big RAM Plus, they work fine. Today I upgraded to a Cyberstorm 060 MK 1 and I get a red screen that the board is not working. I thik this is the only card that doesn't work with the Big Ram Plus.
