I have a ZX Spectrum +3 which is running nicely with a new drive belt but unfortunately it sounds terrible!

I cannot believe that Amstrad allowed the machine to be released commercially with this issue, incredible.

Can anyone help perform the necessary modification to fix the distorted audio?

Cheers

Thank you Roy, also sent you some questions for clarification. I really appreciate both invitations to take a look at fixing the audio.

This +3 is quite special to me as I invested a fair amount of time tidying up the floppy drive and driving a long way to collect it some time ago. I have collected a number of games now for it, so hoping to restore it to its full glory!

The PSU weighs a ton as well it is the size and weight of a house brick, ideally looking to avoid a situation necessitating the postage of that as well.

yep,it is nice.when you have it done you may as well have R44 sorted at the same time to make it more compliant with scart

What a wonderful community and thanks for the kind offers, both extremely welcome.

ill be taking up Roy's services with the advantage of the psu to hand on this occasion, however I'll be knocking on pondis' door soon enough as I note his console modding service. I have a family of sega consoles needing some 60hz love.

regards all

Wonderful, the machine is back home in pride of place on the retro desk.

Just a short thank you video and quick fire up of Batman the Movie which never sounded so good out of the +3  Feedback left, many thanks Roy
