Hi you may know of this thread over at WOS:
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/discussion/37746/harlequin-clone-pcb-manufactured/p5
which is a cycle compatible zx spectrum 48k clone with the ULA behaviour etc reproduced in modern IC's, based on Chris Smiths ULA book.
I bought a kit, havent had time to solder it up. there are a few rev updates to trawl through as they've found and corrected board errors, again, hopefully straightforward if you have some more time to indulge than I...
build it and put it in a 48k or larger keyboard.
the kit is likely missing a few bits by now, I think I nicked a socket or 3.. sorry. Please look over the pics and judge for yourself. The idea is the kit doesnt use anything 'old or custom' so I think all the key stuff is there, theres the z80 and masses of IC's, sockets, resistors and so on, RGB scart cable, plus all the component lists are shared, if there is anything missing you'll need source that on your own
printout guide included plus ref is in the WOS thread.
asking £24 paypal gift plus £4 delivery to uk, 2nd class recorded post. Uk only for preference unless you have a signed-for service to suggest.
includes RGB scart lead, PCB and all in photos.
optional extra: I have a spectrum grey keyboard case and tape deck for £8 extra, you'll need check if that can be used... that was the earlier plan here..
nice build pics and a tally of builds here:
