I've had a problem for ages....

Despite buying the correct cables on eBay, I had lots of issues connecting my speccys (both 128 Toaster & the +2A/3 models) to any but the oldest TVs and monitors - eg. A 1084s worked fine, but a LCD TV was unreadable. So after a abit of research (and this will be obvious to you gurus among us - but not me) I've found that the humble speccy is a bit lacking in what a modern TV needs.

AND that, my friends, is a small voltage directed to the scart pins,

Namely, pins 16 (4.5v) and 18 (ground). So I ordered a battery pack holder and a PP3 connector on eBay (the holder holds 3 AA batteries). Soldered the red wire to pin 16, and black to pin 18. BINGO - perfect piccy on every TV I've tried.

Sorry if this is old news, but im no guru and im very pleased with meself.

Now im going to try to source the power internally from the Speccy - I'm feeling adventurous after my success!!
