August 1st through 3rd, 2025, were days when Amiga fans celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Amiga during the amazing Vintage Computer Festival West show, held in Mountain View, California.

Besides a large Amiga-dedicated booth assembled by several passionate Amiga enthusiasts and vendors, I had the chance to attend a handful of superb presentations by well-known members and contributors of the Amiga community.

It was also the first time I had an opportunity to take a closer look at alternate platform Amigas, such as the PowerPC based X and NG series, including the OS4.1 powered A1222+ and Amiga 1200NG, which I ended up ordering. Although considered controversial by some hardcore Amigans, these two are a fine addition to my Amiga hardware collection, which includes:

* Original A1200 with IceDrake accelerator by Apollo
* Original A2000 with TF536 accelerator
* Original A3000 system
* A4000 Replica with Z3660 68060 Rev.6 accelerator built by Kavanoz (big thank you, my friend!)

I should mention that I was one of the exhibitors at VCF West this year, as I was in 2024. However, my display did not include any Amiga hardware this time — not yet.

Here’s a short video report from the event.:
