I should have posted this about a week ago, but when I was fitting the solas to my wedge amiga I ended up with an escape of magic smoke and a burning smell....
Not sure whether I stuffed up or it was related to an incident with that motherboard in the past (see an earlier post). Anyway..... at some point i screwed up and I have now killed the motherboard which no longer powers up. The board is now being investigated by someone far more knowledgeable than me with a view to saving it.
With that out of the house I turned my attention to my towered amiga, which had somehow quietly died previously. After stripping it all back to the motherboard and replacing the psu, then putting it all back together, IT LIVES !
So this weekend i shall do my review of my towered a1200 and post it.
