Well, a little time has passed and thanks to Fitzsteve I have the upgrade bug again.
I got no further with the fastata although the broken leg was repaired and the amiga mostly sees the Kickstarts but with the rom risers its not 100% and cannot see the fastata card itself.
I have setup 3.2 on my RTG tower and it works well - I think I have a few more things to setup but even have warp3d working without too much drama (much to my surprise).
Then Fitzsteve starts posting about his new TF1260.......
So despite having a B1230MKIV which is a lovely card, I have now ordered what I hope is a rev 6 68060, and if it turns out as that then it will go in a TF1260 into my checkmate case. This will also address my desire to speed up the IDE. It will require completely stripping out the checkmate to swap the accelerator out however, but this will then give me the opportunity to test a few other bits and bobs that I will probably then move on via amibay, and maybe properly test the fastata without the indy mk2 in the way.
So hopefully in a week or two I will be posting pictures.....
