    Will PCs become classics?

There are some PC keyboards considered classics. IBM Model M for instance. I have a soft spot for the Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical that came out in 2000. I have a slim cased Dell under my desk, Pentium 3 I think, Voodoo 3dfx Banshee, Windows 98. Bought for £10 about 10 years ago because I...

Cannot boot CD32 TF330 with PIC chip removed from Kipper 2K riser?

Sorry! It's all working fine now. Not sure what happened, perhaps I didn't reinstall the card properly when I took it out to remove the PIC. The other good news is that my Amiga 500 keyboard is working perfectly that I wired up using a PS/2 lead from an old PC keyboard.

Cannot boot CD32 TF330 with PIC chip removed from Kipper 2K riser?

Hi All, I wonder if you could help me please? I have a TerribleFire TF330 installed in my CD32 via a Kipper 2K riser that I bought here. A PC keyboard works fine through the PS/2 socket on the Kipper riser, but I recently bought an Amiga 500 keyboard in a case that I want to use in the CD32's...

Adding more Amiga games to already set up CF card

Thanks, it looks similar to that. That's a right click menu? I'm so used to the ribbon in Windows it might not have occurred to me to right click!

Adding more Amiga games to already set up CF card

Once you have WinUAE set up it's actually really easy to transfer files over. There are loads of games on the card already and lots of utilities (of which I have no idea what 99% do ), I don't think anyone would find many games missing. I don't find Workbench particularly easy to navigate...

Wing Commander CD32 on an AGA miggy

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm having trouble saving the game. I'm using a CD32 with a TF330 and I have copied the files onto the CF card. The game runs well using the sd=3 command to slow it down, but I have tried following the instructions above for the save games and I still...

Adding more Amiga games to already set up CF card

I didn't realise that when you double click on the patch file to run the game through the patch you have to leave a space after where it says "wcpatch" then type "SD=3" into the command line to make the slow down work. Probably obvious if you are familiar with workbench, but I just used to...

Adding more Amiga games to already set up CF card

Success! I managed to copy the CF card with Winimage and add some more games using WinUAE. I couldn't figure out how to use Dopus, but I created a new folder inside the Games 1 folder for my new games and dragged and dropped from the directory on the PC into the new folder and it all copied...

Adding more Amiga games to already set up CF card

Thank you both for the helpful replies. I have a bit of reading to do! Supremacy and Wing Commander are the only games I can think of that I would want to add, however there doesnt seem to be a WHDload version available of Wing Commander.

Adding more Amiga games to already set up CF card

Hi All, I recently bought a TF330 expansion for my CD32. It came with a card with workbench and games on it, but I would like to add Supremacy (Overlord). I have downloaded a WHDload version of Supremacy, but it's not a simple case of adding files to it using my PC. I have looked at some...

Restoration - Commodore 64 came up a treat with Vanish Oxi and Vaseline!

Thanks, yes vaseline helps with dark plastics. Not tried it on a CD32, but there was a definite improvement to a Master System I tried it on.

Restoration - Commodore 64 came up a treat with Vanish Oxi and Vaseline!

Haha I have had some odd hobbies. I've got an 80s RC car and a box of 80s model railway engines ready to restore when I get around to it. Fountain pens are great. I never used to be able to write neatly until I got a fountain pen with a stub nib. Anyway, I gave a first generation Sega Master...

Thanks. Tempting to buy another computer now to try to clean up, but I really shouldn't!

Restoration - Commodore 64 came up a treat with Vanish Oxi and Vaseline!

I thought I'd post a thread on how I cleaned up the Commodore 64 I bought recently. This is how it looked when I first got it a week ago. Discoloured and grubby with a couple of cigarette burns. The wires were loose in the plug so it made a rather scary zzap sound when I plugged it in! It was...
