I have no idea why these people are so attached to him. Any wrong decision Commodore ever took was someone else's fault, every correct decision was his. The reality is probably somewhere in the middle but there's nobody around to provide a counterpoint anymore. When people are dead there's no...
I'm sure the irony of a spamming a scheme that offers a 'Market Place: A portal to buy and sell new and used items' onto Amibay is lost on nobody. In fact it just about sums up the lack of self awareness in any of it!
Sorry for delurking, I've been following this around the web and it seems...
Yes please! I was talking about this very issue yesterday on a Youtube video where I unboxed my new case. Now all I need is a proper Commodore A1200 case label instead of the grotty Amiga 1200 one they included. Will DM!
This sounds very interesting thank you.
I know Amibay has very specific rules about trading and naming prices and I don't want to cause problems in the community. What's the best way to proceed? Is a PM permissible?
Thanks.
Patience. In 5 years or so it will be perfectly possible to get whatever you need produced by a 3D printer. Technology isn't quite there yet but give it time.
Thanks for the replies. I was hoping the GBS was going to be an off the shelf solution (I'd read of people using it with TTL but it seems its not going to work. I had a look at those circuits and they seem a bit beyond me. Probably best forget about the GBS board.
Anyone selling a CGA to SCART...
Ahoy-hoy!
Acquired an Amstrad PPC 640 for very little the other week. Built in MDA screen but CGA output on the back. The small size compared to desktop machines and the fact it can be packed away seemed to make it an ideal candidate to add PC reviews to my Youtube channel (...
Every one of the SCART to HDMI converters I've tried so far has been pretty rubbish and often supplied with dangerous PSU's. They tend to cause input lag and over sharpen the image. Total waste of time.
Wouldn't surprise me that the PSU of the converter is faulty so try another.
Part of the problem with the Beeb is indeed its palette. It is pretty garish. Although it can be used well if the graphics artist is talented. For example Arkanoid on the BBC looks very good and very similar to the CPC version (a computer with far more colours available).
The other problem is...
Harrier Attack on the Amstrad CPC. A neighbour had it on his new 464. In fact it was the first home computer game I ever saw. Probably early to mid '85. By the time the year was out we had a shiny new 6128. 30 years next month in fact! Cripes.
Is it ok if I do a shout out? I've been in a self imposed exile as I was buying too much stuff! I get twitchy when I see certain machines come up even thought I don't need even more! :D
I have plugged before but for those who don't know ChinnyVision is a Youtube review channel with a...
Lucky the new cases will be available soon!
Would be a fascinating experiment for Retrobrite though. How far can you push it back and how long will it stay that way? Also how well will it match the areas that are less discoloured.
