Unfortunetly I don't know much about the CD-1200 controller, never had one, but is it not using IR communication similar to the "normal" CDTV remote? In any case it is deffinetly working as a mouse / cd remote and the cd32 aux port is a combined keyboard & serial port soooo I seriously doubt...
