well I went with a Furia in the end. It's at home waiting for me. I'll give it a go either over the weekend or next week depending on time.
I did consider the A630 which is clearly the better card but I couldn't justify the double cost of it for the amount of use it'll get!
I checked that the...
that's really good thanks. I do wonder how many of the issues people have had are really down to earlier firmware versions or SD/CF card incompatibility. I think I'll try a furia and see how I get on.
I'm thinking of buying a Furia accelerator for my A600 so I can play games such as Frontier: Elite II in high detail mode at a good speed.

But I reckon handing over any money to them before they have guaranteed stock and are...
Well, I'm really quite embarrassed that this has happened one day after me selling the Amiga! It never showed any signs of failure when I had it, although it's been sat for maybe two months since I used it. It was left in a dry place covered up from dust though.
I read your PM before this...
Commodore 16 was the worst one I ever had. Me being about 6 or 7 at the time just made it worse too, it was a long time for a kid to wait for a game!
ZX Spectrums were lightening fast to load in comparison.
