I can code a bit. I seriously considered porting my iPhone game to the Amiga but I'm probably going to spend some time banging the hardware and doing demo type stuff instead. A port is more of a job than I can justify to myself really...

By default the mac is fairly closed. You need to turn on SSH/FTP/Back To My Mac etc. And you also need a router that supports IPv6 tunnels, which none of mine do, so Back To My Mac is no use to me :( DynDNS is a separate app that the owner installed and it's dead handy...

I never got on with Octamed. Took up too much memory and the replayer was a bit slow. Probably not a problem these days :D

Yeah, it seems only some of them region check. I've no idea how you can tell in advance, but I've been playing a Jap bonk's adventure on my CG with no issues...

I've got two 8 port Netgear hubs, never had a problem with them in 3 years solid use. In fact, I've pretty much always used Netgear hubs & switches, fwiw.

Yeah, really old macs used a different protocol to share files than contemporary Windows machines (same's still true today, technically) so you need Dave, or an equivalent. Dave's great, but I've no idea if you can still get a copy. That's proper old school :D Alternatively, just setup an FTP...
