I have the C128D which was in the plastic case which has 16K of VDC RAM, so I am assuming this is the older chip? I can just plugin this and upgrade to 64k RAM?

I am on the look out for an Amiga 1000, having never owned one this has been on my bucket list. I don't mind if it's yellowed a bit. I am concerned about the chip ram with the A1000 though, would this be an issue with WHDLoad?

That's an Amiga 500 plus which doesn't need to be modded. Just purchase a 1MB expansion done.
