Someone on Lemon64 pointed me to a pickup only Commodore PET 4032 on eBay. It was a great deal so I jumped on it. It's a 3 hour drive each way to pick it up but it will be worth it.
Well, this isn't going to happen now. The seller said he dropped it today but I think he sold it out from under me and sent me a refund. At least I didn't drive there before he told me. :(

Same thing here, I had won a "Commodore Amiga DataFlyer Expansion Card" and the seller refunded my payment shortly afterward. The reason? "Out of stock". Honestly...

I have been hunting a 1084s with original swivel base for years! Must have 10 of them and none have the base... must be a UK market thing?

New old stock in a box all the way from Germany without so much as a scuff god bless UPS :D

Gutted for you. Annoying being let down given you were looking forward to it so much that you were prepared to do a 6 hour round trip.

Just Finished repairing and refurbishing this old beauty.
Been collecting the Parts for the last month.
The iie comes from the USA and is an enhanced model with expanded 80 column card and Super Serial Card. (NTSC COLOUR)

The PSU is from the UK

And the Duodisk unit is from the UK, with the Cable being made from half an Atari DMA Cable lol.

It's my first Apple II and so far I am really impressed with it.

Many thanks to Iainjh & Sir_Beaker for their support and help.

Nice looking IIe there, Bas! If I had space, I would be tempted to get myself a IIe Platinum with full keyboard.

I'm sure you'll be very happy with it, although we could never afford one when i was a kid, all the schools had them (they were about 4x more expensive than a C64 back in the day), theres tons of software out there for them , in fact many of the same ones that came out on Commodore had an Apple II version..

theres also a couple of GUIs which will look familiar, GEOS and Apple II Desktop

i was lucky enough to acquire several systems (4 IIes and 3 IIGSs, all with memory expansion) from the Hackery 3 or so years ago, as well as a bunch of drives (7x 5.25" / 3x 3.5") for not too much money.

with the serial card (and a null modem cable) , ADT Pro will let you copy disks over at a pretty good rate, unless you can track down a decent SD/USB option...

also a couple games that came out only for the Apple II (iirc) were some of my favorites, The Bilestoad, Odyssey: the Compleat Adventure and Titan Empire

Cheers guys, i am really enjoying her :D

@saviorx
ADT Pro is indeed a very good and efficient bit of software, i have been able to write quite a few disks from images served by a PC connected to the super serial card. Takes about 40seconds to write a full disk from image..

Most Cool indeed :D

hi protek, can I ask a bit more about the apple 2 sd card board you linked to above.. does it give you a disk browser to load a dsk from and quickly reboot ? and please, how many dsk or hd images can it hold at once?

the ideal would be to boot the apple and be presented with a menu but I dont know if thats what this one is about.

cheers for advice!

regret I'm not finding a lot of answers on this board, I've seen it mentioned before but cant quite find the exact details..

Iainjh, the SD Disk II comes with a bluetooth module which enables you to connect to the device with a mobile phone or tablet, using a terminal program. You can do the selections there. It comes also with a selector knob and I think there is now also an optional lcd display. The amount of images is restricted by the size of the SD card. Only one image can be active at a time though. Also, the SD Disk II cannot work in HD and floppy mode at the same time.
