I wouldn't think so, v2.0 is already power modified as mentioned in OP post; unless the ReAmiga VGA out needs buffering as well.

I like the Sandisk mini USB sticks, as large as a fingernail. They don't protrude too far and are neat. The Gotek also works best with HFE images, converted from ADF's with HxC Floppy Emulator software.
