How do we transfer files between none-floppy based PC or Mac to the Amiga 1200 with Workbench 3.0? I used to use Emplant on my A4000 to do most of my transfers and it worked fine for the longest time. The A4000 is out for service now, so I am on the A1200 and am having a tough time figuring out how to transfer files to the A1200 simply and efficiently. Any ideas? Thanks.

From Aminet, Install on the A1200 compactflash.device in devs, FAT95 in L and CF0: mountfile in devs/dosdrivers.

Grab a Sandisk 2GB or 4GB CF card and format it to Fat32.

Obtain a CF card/sd card to USB adapter and PCMCIA to CF adapter online.

A1200 must have max 4mb expansion mem or an accelerator that is PCMCIA friendly.

Use file explorer in Windows to copy files to CF card 7zip can also extract lha files on the pc if needed. Usually to a folder. DOPUS is handy to copy from CF0: to HDD: on the A1200.

Files @miggygossip is talking about:

Cfd133 which has the Compactflash.device and mount point for devs DOSDrivers

FAT95 filesystem for reading and writing the CF or SD card formatted in FAT32
