    Microswitches, anyone?

Just thought I'd offer a tip. When I built my MAME cabinet, I got my parts from http://www.groovygamegear.com. I had no previous experience of arcade parts, but I can say the parts are performing very well indeed. I wouldn't know about the difference between joystick switches and button...

    Big Computer Desk?

I have the wider version of the Fredrik desk in that image and it's great, very solid. The best thing about it is all the surfaces can be mounted at the height you want, so it's easy to tailor it to your needs. And if you don't want the side columns to go all the way up, it's easy to hacksaw...

Retro console - which is best? (Most Favoured)

I remember we had one of these systems when I was like, 4 or 5 years old. It's without question the system that introduced me to video games, along with the Donkey Kong cocktail cabinet we had in the pub we owned on the ground floor. You might say that the first pixels I ever saw were from the...

Floppy works, but LED always on

That is weird. My CF reader is set up like yours, but it too has an onboard LED, though this one works simultaneously and in the same way as the case HD LED. Guess you could try Nikos' suggestions as well?

Floppy works, but LED always on

The floppy's own LED is behaving as the original, as far as I can tell, and I had actually thought of routing that signal to the case LED. However, I'd much rather have everything working as it's supposed to, so will try out your suggestions. Thanks for the ideas! Regards, Nick:)

Floppy works, but LED always on

Yes, it's definitely not an original drive. I do wonder why it behaves this way, though, and whether it can be remedied. And I'm definitely not returning it, flashing LED or not, it's fully functional, which is the most important thing:) N

Floppy works, but LED always on

Aye, I just checked the cable, and it seems to be seated correctly on both ends. The LED is still on, so guess there's some other problem.

Floppy works, but LED always on

Hi Dave, thanks for chiming in. If the cable were incorrectly connected, would the drive still work? N

Floppy works, but LED always on

Power LED is on. HD LED is also working properly. N
