I was about to say that I am using known good drives, but I figured what the hell and removed the drive from the other a500, and that was it.. I am not sure why both my internal and external spare drive is not working, but anyway, thanks for making me check :)

Well I Opened up another A500 and started swapping out custom chips. Paula caused the diagnostic rom to crash, so now I can run the tests. Floppy still does not work. Diag rom says internal drive is not detected. Known working CIAs and Gary.

I did this but with a dualsid, with a 6581 and a 8580 sid the effect is awesome, i use it on a c64 reloaded board. Im thinking the dualsid is a better alternative, but hey, if it works, it works :)

C64 reloaded, mounted in a transparent c64c case.. Burnt a custom rom with jiffydos and danish/norwegian character rom in addition to the originals. Now trying to figure out how to fit dual sid board in there.. The zif sockets are too tall. Need new keycaps as well obviously :)

Yet another uIEC mod, but this time I wanted the "next" and "previous" disk feature of the uIEC, but without extra buttons in the case.. I also want JiffyDOS, also switchless, that part is easy as this guy already did the work...

Well yes you are right, but it seem to be quite easy to mod the dualsid to be able to switch in realtime. You can set both sids to the same address, then add a switch on the outputs. But it can not do it out of the box. I dont own a dualsid myself (yet..), so I havent tried it. i found a...
