Yeah that's completely normal it just stays unattached. You used to be able to use it to hit a pin on the cartridge port and reset the machine, but don't try it! Get it wrong and it's repair time!
Surprised at that considering it's a fairly pro-iPhone thread! My advice:
Don't fear the onscreen keyboard. I can type fine on my phone, it didn't take long to get used to it.
Don't buy a phone based on playing ports of old games, onscreen touch controls for games are a right pain. Stick to...
I remember hearing a game (can't remember which) where part of the music or sound effects were missing on the C64C with the newer SID. It's a nicer machine to type on though!
Thanks all!
My A1200 has a 6GB hard drive, and a Blizzard 030/50 accelerator with 32Mb. Also got a wifi card running on it. The machine is one of those late-model Amiga Technologies ones with the 3.1 roms.
The bad news is I think I will have to sell it. I have tried it on the living room LCD...
These sound good, I just checked around on the web and there's a review on the Amazon page for the monitor that says:
Near CRT Quality in LCD flat panel - A Rare Thing!
Hi all,
I've been a lurker on this site for years but never got round to registering. I had an A500 back in the day and now have a nice upgraded A1200. Looking forward to getting some advice on carrying on my Amiga addition, possibly with a Minimig.
Cheers,
Dorian
