I would not be beaten (dead 1084s therefore no A4000)

Yes and not the for first time. I am a technician by trade with 40 years in the game and I am not really sure if the expense is worth it to fix an old thing like this as something else may blow soon after that.

Just remember this is AmigaOS XL, NOT WINUAE, and it is a damn site faster as it is not realy an emulation nut the Amiga OS written for the PC. And I would love to try it on an I7.

I would not be beaten (dead 1084s therefore no A4000)

With both drives in situ the original drive would not show itself, and I think it was because of the very early drive type not working happily with the microdrive on the single IDE bus. ---------- Post added at 15:57 ---------- Previous post was at 15:54 ---------- Tried that and for some...

I would not be beaten (dead 1084s therefore no A4000)

I had been running a 1200 for a few weeks connected to a 15" LCD TV. I decided to get around then to resurrecting my old A4000 but when I tried to fire up the 1084s (the A4000 has no composite video out) it had no screen and a whistle which suggested a dead EHT. Damn. Ah, but I could connect it...

(Very deep) Plus the fact that the other brick reference does not apply to me as in "thick as...
