Cheers again John
I had never opened this up before and found a 4MB card lurking in it! :D but the reason for the problem was because of the old Hard Drive. I believe it was an A1200 HD from way back when. Strangely, when it was removed it loaded up fine.
I believe John was saying...
Went to the 8Bit last night at the Hare and Hounds Kings Heath and I just want to show my appreciation to John M who did Amibay proud last night and troubleshooted the problem with my A1200 and 8MB Card.
In relation to the 8MB card, he identified that the fault was when I put on the plastic...
It's a red screen and it gives the serial number (or some kind of code) of the memory card and says it's defective. When I remove the card it boots up fine. But to have my dream of a WHDLoad working machine (with windows style selectable games), I'd need this working :)
Here's the card I'm...
A different day, a different problem! A couple of years ago I purchased an 8MB Memory expansion for my A1200 and for a while it worked intermittently. Sometimes it would throw up the red screen saying the memory is defective and other times it would strangely work.
However it now seems to have...
As the title says really, I have another A1200 where the picture is fine on the TV but through a monitor it's basically purple.
Is this generally a sign of anything that's repaiable too?
Hiya folks
Along with a few others, I organise KO2 tournaments and have helped with the last 5 UK Champs along with the World Cup...and my Amiga's have worked great but are now struggling somewhat!
Basically my first problem concerns the fact that if I hook up the Amiga either via Monitor or...
Yeah? Very interesting...why does it have a purple overlay? I know sometimes different colours mean different things...do you reckon what might be the problem with this one?
Ever since resoldering one of the hard drive pins, it does connect to a TV and produces a picture...but it's purple :( You know how on the old monitors you clicked a button to cast a green filter over the image? Well thats what happens but in purple.
I have 2 A1200's and they only produce a picture on a Monitor and with my Phillips monitor packing up and now seeking refuge in the local tip, I wondered if anyone had one they want to sell?
Havent got much funds but desperately need it for the 2011 World Cup of Kick Off 2.
I have an A500 without a floppy drive and would like to fix it in preperation of the 2011 Kick Off 2 World Cup in Birmingham. It needs a bit of other work but an internal floppy is the best place to start.
I know from taking them out that the A1200 is slightly smaller (i think anyway) but would...
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone had a suitable adaptor to enable me to use my Amiga joystick on the PC? I have a Parrallel Port Adaptor to the Amiga 9 Pin Joystick but on my new laptop I don't have a parrallel port.
So if anyone has a 9-pin Male connector to USB I'd definetly be interesting...
Hi matey, I wouldnt consider that a problem mate. I regulary used to play SWOS myself and loved the online leagues at sensiblesoccer.de - it was through there that I rediscovered the Kick Off Association and made some great friends.
There will be lots of new players - quite a few of which...
Hi guys, just giving a heads up with regards to the Kick Off 2 World Cup which this year is being held in Birmingham!
Started by Steve Screech in 2001 when he invited members of the Kick Off Association forum to attend the Anco Offices in Dartord and then carried on by members whether it be...
