I was given a engineering model of the new production run, so I did not update firmware. The first one I received just didn't work. I could only get the HDToolbox to see the device on a A2000 GVP 030 card, but it never work beyond that. (and not at all on a A3000)

If anyone cares, the latest rev of the aztecmonster works perfectly with the A3000 scsi But it seem like a waste as the A3000 cant get more the 2MB transfer speed... so a scsi2sd solution might be a better fit (for half the price)

I noticed two seller, but both already sold the tilda key... seem like a very popular keycap :)

I have an fully functional A1000 keyboard where the tilda key got broken off and lost during shipping... It would seem imposible to replace, but maybe some got a broken keybord thats ok to use for parts ? Thank you, Stephan

Is there a drop in replacement, with larger capacity, for the ROM the A1000 use for the bootstrap code ? (assuming they are on sockets?) I think they total 64K, so did they make any that where 256K ? chips C252179-01 and C252180-01 seem to be on sockets. And are I think 8bit 32K , total 16bit...

I'm not a HW guy at all, but I assume from your post that the 27C322 is a drop in replacement for a chip on the A1000 ? Like the chip that hold the bootstrap code? Then I have to ask, is should be also possible to make a custom bootstrap code that load a kickstart for disk or from the ROM...

I think a custom compressor might have to be used. Assuming most is 68000 code from a C compiler, there might be a better/better and simpler compressor then RAR ? (Maybe even a 'hand tweaked' compressor... ?) But if RAR cant make it close to 256K, this might be the biggest barrier to this idea...

Thank you for the info. In your case you might be able to tweak a gotek drive to fit, and settle with a usb floppy VS a real 3.5 ? Having an A500 accelerator that fit inside an A1000 would be acceptable, if it physically fits :) And specially if I want to go all out and also update the custom...

I'm looking for the equivalent of a mythical ACA 1000 NTSC. (I seen a video of an ACA 500 + ACA 1233 working on a A1000, and that seem near perfection) alternative welcome...

Here is a keyboard that I thought was shot because of function key stickers. But amazingly in an afternoon it look brand new. I use a 15% liquid h2o2 solution, its not cheap at $15 a gallon (well $36 for a gallon of 34%). But it can be used many times over. Done A3000 face plate, half a dozen...

Thanks for the data. I'm starting to wonder if my card is not defective. Because its also not working in my A2000 + Gforce030, or possible the 8GB CF card I use is a problem.

I appreciate the offer and the pictures, but at around $230 its past my budget for the card on its own.
