I seem to find conflicting report from Amiga users saying the board work and doesn't work.
But no definitive answers either way.

So If anyone got it to work on A3000, anything special need to be done?

The alternative seem to be scsi2sd (confirmed working), but it seem to be much slower then a real HHD ? like ~300kb write speed ?

Cannot test with A3000, but it works with A4000T build-in SCSI and also on Cyberstorms and Blizards SCSI chipsets.

Thanks for the data. I'm starting to wonder if my card is not defective.
Because its also not working in my A2000 + Gforce030, or possible the 8GB CF card I use is a problem.

The Aztec suffers from a bad design that requires very good voltages.

We had a discussion about this in another forum.

Cheers,
McT

Thanks for the info, I will give this a try (using a separate power supply to the card)

FYI: The manufacturer told me they are about to release a new firmware in the next 2 weeks.

If anyone cares, the latest rev of the aztecmonster works perfectly with the A3000 scsi

But it seem like a waste as the A3000 cant get more the 2MB transfer speed... so a scsi2sd solution might be a better fit (for half the price)

Have a AztecmonterII connected to GVPCombo030 and it works flaless only cavet is drive size. You have to use same CHS value in HDtoolbox as the AztecmonsterII reads from the drive. This cavate probably apply to AztecMonster also.

I was given a engineering model of the new production run, so I did not update firmware.

The first one I received just didn't work. I could only get the HDToolbox to see the device on a A2000 GVP 030 card, but it never work beyond that.
(and not at all on a A3000)

My A2000 did lose its HDD content and after many thouth and tries ending with SCSI bus lockups. Finaly discovered That my Aztec-II will not accept any more units on the SCSI bus. Tried it together with another HDD, CD and Tape drive same lockup but if the Aztec-II are the only unit attached - no problem.

Hope this small finding will help you with your problem solving process.
