No haven't got that far yet. Do you update the core from within workbench. I heard you don't have to connect it to the PC anymore to update. Is that right?
Replacement vampire worked first time when plugged in. Haven't installed a CF yet but I have tried a few games on floppy. The 3d games fly and are silky smooth .Some 2d games no longer have slow down. I have been experiencing some graphical glitches though. I noticed this on a youtube video...
tried reseating, tried cleaning contacts on the cpu and socket with isoprop. Been using anti static wrist band the entire time. Vampire is bolted down firmly and wont budge (followed kippers instructions) Still black screen? Hope this card isn't a dud?
just got my card. Thanks very much. Now comes the time to install it. Im finding it very wobbly and im not keen on the idea of sanding down the pins. Can I just leave it as is and then glue the hdmi lead to the outer casing so it doesn't yank the card about?
its fine... my A600 is sitting right on the desk next to my main PC monitor... it isn't going anywhere... ill just organise it in a way where the cable doesn't get snagged.
What about this?

Which one does the Vampire have? Micro or mini? I would like to buy before hand. Any links to the best hdmi cable (from people who already have their boards) would be great.
Cheers
I need a very slim hdmi (to go inside the A600) and a standard size one for the monitor. The one he shows seems to be standard on both ends? Does he use an adapter? Not very clear.
