It is breaking my heart to do this but I have to put my Amiga 3000 up for sale.
Due to the fact that I have to raise €120,000 to get my wife to Australia for surgery to enable her to be able to walk again, I’m selling the Amiga 3000 I have left in my collection.
I have sold off the rest of the collection to raise funds and this is the last to go because it is really quite special to me and come with some unique Amiga history.
This Amiga was originally part of the School of animation in Ballyfermot here in Ireland and was saved from being dumped nearly 20 years ago. Some of the well-known animators in film studios here in Ireland and around the world such as Cartoon Saloon and Boulder Media got their start using these Amigas back in the late 80’s and early 90’s so you can see they have a little history behind them. I’ve attached a screenshot of an old article the CU Amiga did on the animation school in Ballyfermot and you can see A3000’s being used.
The A3000 is booting fine, only needs tidying up and a fresh OS install- RTC battery has been removed and the motherboard cleaned. It has 1 x scsi2SD adapter - 2meg Chip ram and 8mg fast - the floppy was working fine but I think it needs a re-cap as it is no longer reading disks it just spins - comes with Amiga to scart video cable. This A3000 comes with Keyboard and a rare pregnant mouse.
Included are original 1.4 ROMs and a set of 3.X updated Cloanto ROMs. Both need some replacement screws ( originals were lost )
The non-working A3000 has motherboard Varta damage and is not booting but all components have been cross-tested by substitution. It also comes with a keyboard and Amiga Tank Mouse.
Price for the working system is €1650
Non-working A3000 €750 - sold off-site
Cost of delivery is extra.
Delivery to the UK could possibly be handled through postage from Northern Ireland - option can be discussed if applicable.
If you would like to read my wife's story and perhaps support her either by donating or by sharing my wife Caroline's story amongst your family and friends and on social media - here is the GoFundMe link - https://gofund.me/d74c16f6

- Thanks again to all in the Amiga Ireland community for your donations and support - regards ed
