Maybe a slight up in voltage would make it go a little faster, sometimes this can help.

But end of day, it's only rated for 50mhz - it's a silicon lottery

I agree. I tested it in my A4000 on a BFG9060. I tryed.

By the way, there's a newer firmware for the BFG, maybe that could improve things - for me I was finally able to run some cpu's at 75mhz, which previously never worked.
