Closed 8701 replacement: meet TOLB

It's a sad fact of life but it's now been nearly a year that the 525-01RLF from Renesas has been obsoleted and discontinued.

The only version of the 525-01R now officially available is the industrial version which is considerably more expensive. All sources on eBay have proven to be fake or faulty ICs.

For this reason, the price of TOLB has to be increased to 11 Euros or 12.75$US
 
I have possible bad 14.31818Mhz crystal, or bad CT1 trimmer capacitor. My 7701 works (tried in another machine)

Since it has its own clock, can use TOLB or LumaTOLB instead of replacing both crystal/trimmer capacitor? Thank You!

The most reliable 8701 replacement. This product uses its own onboard oscillator so you don't have to adjust the variable cap on the C64/C128 board and you always have perfect colors.

I now use the industrial grade 525-01RILF.
