Hi everyone, I’m Ian Bennett.

Some of you might remember me as the former Editor of Amiga User International magazine and Technical Editor of Commodore User magazine back in the 1990s. The Amiga was a huge part of my life and career, and I’ve recently rediscovered my Amiga 4000/040 which has been carefully stored indoors for many years.

I’m semi-retired now and considering finding it a new home, ideally with a collector or enthusiast who will look after it. I thought Amibay would be the right place to connect with serious Amiga fans rather than taking the eBay route.

Looking forward to being part of the community here.

Cheers,

Ian

Hi Ian and welcome to Amibay. I've read AUI in the past, as it was more hardware and software oriented magazine, than just games. For that, we had other Amiga magazines.

Yes, that true. I used to do a lot of video Genlocking in those days. I did Graphics for lots of companies then, mostly up at Pinewood studios.

That's a great info to share Ian. I remember quite a few hardware reviews regarding genlocking with some Rombo hardware as well, but mostly the tutorials were helpful.

I used to use the G2 Genlock which at the time was bleeding edge technology :)

Yeah, I remember Rombo's genlocks, they were affordable at the time, and for us, children, it was magnificent the stuff you can do at home with a genlock, a camcorder and your Amiga of course.
