I am relieved that those pics don't have anything to do with your work, Bryce. Also my C16 motherboard thinks the same... ;-)

I aways fancied the c16 but never got the chance to own one, are they anything like the vic20 by any chance.

No, they're not except for the "breadbin"-like shaped case. The C16 was black or dark grey and it was produced by Commodore as the low-end new 8-bit generation after the success of C64, the high-end model being the Plus/4, intended mainly for office/business purposes. Based on 7501 or 8501 CPUs, fully compatible with the 6502 family, it only mounted 16KB of RAM memory, an advanced version of BASIC (v3.5), different chipset for audio and video output from the C64 (TED chips), and also different input ports for joysticks and tape recorder, although you could plug in the C64 peripherals and accessories by using adapters. Looks great i`m going to have to get hold of a good one to try it out.

Thanks for explaining in detail cercamon.

You're welcome, mate. There's much more to know about these machines.
One thing I only recently discovered about C16s is that it's not that difficult to exapnd the memory to 64K.. and that's what @Bryce is kindly doing for me with his expert hands. :-)
Some have even installed the ROM software included in the Plus/4 into the C16. And new software/games/demos are being produced for C16/+4 today (see www.commodore16.com and www.plus4.com).
