Closed A1000 keyboard, even a broken one is fine

Hey guys,

I'm looking for an A1000 keyboard. For a good, working one I'm happy to pay well, but I could also use any old beaten and broken one as long as it has at least most of the key switches still there.

I bought a good looking keyboard a while ago, but it turned out to have a bit of water damage inside as you can tell by the attachment. The metal frame I have already cleaned and repainted, but unfortunately some of the switches are rusty on the inside, and they are way too hard to clean without breaking at least some of them. So I need some extra ones for spare parts.

Alternatively if anyone knows what this switch type is exactly and if it's used in certain PC keyboards, let me know It's mentioned in several places that the A1000 keyboard uses Cherry switches, but these don't match any Cherry switch type I have managed to find so I'm starting to wonder...

Just thought I'd add a couple of close-ups while I'm at it. Does not appear to be either Cherry or ALPS, but if someone knows what they are...

I have to repair a couple of keys of my A1000 keyboard and I don't know how to do :roll:

I see those switches before...

I bet you can locate replacements on Digikey, Farnell or Futurlec.

I went through the lists on all of those but couldn't see anything similar. There were Cherry keyswitches but they have a different type of mounting peg for the keycaps, dunno if they would fit otherwise either

I can be wrong, but the blue membrane keyboard of A600 have the same needles as those switches.

Of course it's not the same thing.

I have an A1000 keyboard that is missing a couple of keys and I have not tested it (but could hook it up and test it for you) that I would be willing to sell. I am afraid that the postage might be expensive to send it over the Atlantic though. I would be satisfied with $8 plus the shipping and Paypal fees if you want it.
