Hello guys!

I got a suggestion sent my way of letting you guys know about a project I have been working on for some time and that I have nearly finished up now, so here goes! :-)

For the last six months I have been developing a customizable replacement LED board for the A1200. This is just a hobby project I started because I am a fan of both the Amiga (obviously) and also modding. I like LED modding especially and would have liked to be able to personalize the LEDs on my A1200 but nowhere could I find a product that I could just go and buy. So the only solution that was left was to do one myself! :-D

So now I have done exactly that. I made one for myself, but I also want to share my project and hopefully help other people that have been looking for this kind of customizing opportunity. I have therefore scaled up my little project and made a pitch video, a demonstration video and a project homepage for anyone to visit and read more.

Here is the Pitch Video I put together that showcase my board and its features under a minute:

And here is me demonstrating the board in action:

I am just wrapping up the project now, as the boards are complete (bar microcontroller programming and soldering). I am still working on the definite version of the LED tops but I am confident that I will have all completed for next month as my aim is to start shipping these in June 2017.

If you are interested in learning more about this project you can head over to the project webpage at www.a1200bifrost.com. I will try to post any and all updates there in the "Development Blog" section. If you want to support my project you can already pre-order the board there as well.

I hope you like it!

Thank you for your time and happy modding! :-)

Amazing work, being able to config with those little buttons is genius

Cool idea. I was thinking that perhaps those buttons it could also be useful for controlling a floppy emulator if you do not want to drill holes in the chassis. :)

I pre-ordered two units from Fuzzie yesterday and can't wait to try them in the original and Kickstarter cases I have.

just pre-ordered mine! theres not much apart from badges and painting that can be done externally so looking forward to this

Fabulous! I will order some for my 5 kickstarter cases... need also one version for an A500, haha and many for a huge collection of A600 i got from a school... if ever you make some for such tiny LED computer...

Seeing as I am now slowly starting to send these out and I have a backlog that is filling up I thought I would make a "First Look" / "Unboxing" Video to demonstrate how it looks IRL. :-)

Hope you enjoy!

Thanks!

Looks really good and professional. I've ordered two and am expecting them to arrive this week.
