Hiya!
Well this is the commodore issue 2B board that I have recently recapped.
I have been using since the recap to make sure it is suitable to go on to it`s new home (someone is waiting... makes a good incentive to work at it, I`d shelve it for 6 months usually!)
Anyway, she has been running just fine, I have been watching demos all week, so much fun, but when I came to hook her up to my projector via composite I got initially no signal, then the image below appeared, very fuzzy and jumping all over, my heart sank but after reconnecting to my tv via rgb as has been used all along she is running fine.
Testing composite on the tv gives no signal.

Unlike most of my other 1200`s I cannot say I have ever seen composite on this machine.

Half unplugging and plugging back in had no effect, neither did tapping (albeit quite gently) on the understide of the case..

I am too tired to go on a joint check and track break hunt atm.

Thanks so much in advance for all the patience and help!

Any chance you can try the RF signal cos I know when commodar first intro dusted the A1200 many were plagued with naff RF or it might have been the composite I just cant remeber which one it was, but defo remember the Wang engener comin out to replace me 1200 cos of this fault 2 weeks be for me warentry was up

Ok, got round to testing the RF.
TV was unable to seek through tuning and find anything.
as a test I plugged in an a520 modulator and the tv picked it up ok.

which proves wot we already know that the RGB is A OK

sounds like the comman fault that plagued the introduction of the A1200 shame u still not got your onsite warrentry still hehehehehhe:p:D

Am sure one of the better informed tecno ppl round here will have a better understanding as what the real cause of the problem is
