how's it going bitcpy just saw the beautiful A3000 case on this thread and looks like a great project for an AROS box if one of the distros fully support it. I recommend you look at AEROS as it looks like a solid system.

I've been so busy with work life that this project was paused. I need to wire up and solder a few cables before I can permanently mount it into the case. I will definitely try AROS once the hardware part is done.

Although right now my main stumbling block is trying to find a Catweasel so I can use an A3000 KB & mouse.

just a couple of points, you won't be able to completely remove all evidence of windows, i have tried, most of it can be hidden but not all

Amithlon rocks but isn't that great on newer machines.

IMO AROS/Icarus is the way to go

Justin: On the Windows issue, did you try Windows Embedded? It is designed for Kiosk type systems where you have complete control over the presentation. Once I get to that point, I will try it out and we can compare notes.
