Since a lot of people asks for a roadmap of the capacitors in the A4000 motherboard, and one Brazilian friend of mine make a very decent image, here goes it:

You may thank Mauro (aka Ritcho) for it. I did.

Thanks Rogerio! I have two A4000Ds that could do with some new caps. :)

:inlove:

Now this is something worthy of a sticky!

Could we get an area for repair resources perhaps and stick stuff like this in?
Would be great to have things like this available to print when we have to do a re-cap.

Now we just need one for every miggy... nay SYSTEM that is retro! :D

now why didn't I think of this. I have photos of all the A4000D caps, just not all in one picture.. I can add that the A3640 needs 5 new 22 uF 16V as well..

Photo of a recap set as per rkauer's post, also including caps for a rev B daughterboard.
Daughterboard caps:
3 x 220 uF 16V
2 x 22 uF 16V

Hi chaps,

Very useful info. Thanks a lot :)

I also agree with others.... maybe more cap maps/materials for all other Amiga mobos/accelerators?

Hm, do you have something similar in your mind? :p

For the daughterboard? It's only five caps and they're easily spotted so I don't think any "map" is really needed, but since you asked...

No, I didn't say anything about a daughterboard.

Well you said "something similar" and the main subject is a capacitors map of the mainboard... so that's the natural inference. What were you referring to, if not the daughterboard?

Login to get the answer.

I found some info about c433 and c443 should be non-polarized caps 22uF 35V. Confirmation anyone?

Thank you rkauer!

I removed the SMD caps from my newly acquired 4000D last night. Several was leaking and the two near the IDE port was leaking badly, corrosion had started. :(
