Hi all,

I recently bought an A4000 polymer capacitor pack from Amiga Kit. I have replaced all the capacitors except six. Five 22uf and the single 10uf. The reason being is that these capacitors - like the others - are 5mm in diameter whereas the original ones are 4mm so they are larger than the space allocated for them on the board. The silk screen markings for the 22uf and 10uf is clearly smaller than the others...So I am slightly confused.

Has anybody else bought this capacitor pack and if so, what did they do about these six?

Thanks!

Edit: I am sure they sent me the wrong size capacitors for the 22uf and 10uf as I just watched CRGs recap video of an A600 - who also bought a polymer cap pack from Amigakit - and I can clearly see that the 10uf is smaller than the others...

No, that is the problem. The capacitor legs extend beyond the pads.

I can't shorten the legs as they are already tiny...According to their listing on Ebay, they have sold 6 other packs, presumably with the same size capacitors. I was therefore wondering if anybody else had noticed this problem...
