Very good stuff Steve! I'd love to have the PCI configuration in my A4000D. :)

For the PSU, is your original power supply just dead or is it missing completely? If you still have it, you could do an ATX mod like the one I did that holds the ATX guts inside the old PSU case.

Still, the screenshots on that system look amazing.

Heather

Hey Heather, thanks for the kind comments. :)

The A4000 came to me incomplete, I've found some of the parts already but not a PSU.

Ah! I see. :) I was lucky to get an old dead PSU from another AmiBayer for my PSU mod so I didn't have to sacrifice a working PSU. I hope you find one soon!

Heather

so are you missing the outer shell that bolts to the case, couldnt you use aluminium plate to make something to bolt the atx and 4000 shell together.

without buying a 4000 supply to mod.

Hey Heather & Roy, sorry I missed your posts!

Still haven't found a PSU yet although I put this lot up for sale it didn't sell in the end so I've decided to hang onto it all for now.

There's a lot of money invested here I could do with but it really is a nice setup to hang on to, especially since the RevD Mobo and A3640/QuadDoubler are quite collectable..

I've installed a DVD drive on the FastATA now so it works really well for my Amiga CD Games collection too. Here's some Foundation fun!

I'd be happy with an empty PSU shell to convert, I'd rather not hack something from sheet metal though as I'd like to retain the original look :)

The case is closed for the time being since I'm using the smaller S3 Virge GPU instead of the Voodoo, the only difference is I don't have Warp3D which as you saw was useless anyway!

Overall I'm really impressed with this setup

I'll share some more pics once I've sorted the PSU situation... I really need to find a case badge or get something made up too!

Hey Steve,
I know this is a really old thread....but are you still after an empty A4k power supply? I have one Im not going to use.....

Also I made up some A4k replacement stickers, you are welcome to your choice of sticker variant! They arent perfect but I think they are quite nice all the same.

Hi Ash,

Kind of you to think of me mate but this went last year, I cleared out over 70% of my stuff. I only have a few Amiga setups now and my other Computers/Consoles.

Aside from the Amiga's listed in my sig I have an A1200 with 8mb (currently up for sale) and an A600 with 1.5mb, otherwise stock...

Steve.
