Hi All,

Just to let you know that i have just released 2 new boards. The A600 4mb fast ram board and the A500/A2000 4/8mb board. They will be for sale very soon (within 1 week) and i will advertise when ready to go.

Here is a pic of the boards. (A500 version on the left)

Price will be $39 for the 4mb A600 board and the A500 4mb board. You do not get the actual CPU shown in the A500 board, that is shown simply for installation purposes. I am still testing the a500 8mb version., so that may be a little longer. If interested , let me know so i can gauge approx the level of interest for ordering parts etc

THanks for looking :)

very interesting , I'm sure lots of people will be interested :-)

mike.

As said at EAB I will buy one of each (8mb for A500 if available) :)

Thanks for bringing these upgrades to the community

I'll wait for your sales thread

Hi,

Yes, no software or magic tricks required

Woo hoo! Im in! :D I await your sales thread

Will it work on an A1000?

Is there any plan for a version with IDE on board in the future?

Hi,

I'll quote Zetr0... "Just to let eveyone know, this Surprise will work on the A1000, A2000 and (room permitting) CDTV!"

As for IDE i have a lot on my plate at the moment so nothing cooking yet. I gotta admit the thought is there. The main reason for this was a cheap memory card for people

Woa :wooha: You rock dude! I look forward to your Sale thread

The only issue with the 1000 is as always the large steel frame around the floppy drive. having said that if your handy with a dremmel then it isn't usually a problem...

If i get measurements etc, i can always redesign a future batch, i don't actually have an A1000 so i cant tell.

Here's a pic of the A600 board mounted over the CPU

i'll get some sizes for you...

The cpu socket on the A1000 is slightly hidden under the floppy cage.

the original 68000 fits just under the floppy cage so this isn't an issue but as soon as the 68000 is raised (by a cpu board) then the 68000 will hit the top corner of the floppy cage as shown.

my pic is at the wrong angle but you get the idea.

Hey Taj, I plan to use mine in my new A1000 when it arrives

the orientation is a shown in my pic and I'm sure it will hit the floppy cage but its no big deal. unless the owner will not cut the cage of course, then it won't fit.

As i recall the last pin on the corner of the 68000 will touch the steel cage corner of the floppy bracket. (i chopped the corner off mine)

Definitely interested in at least one of each. Awesome work

Will have to check and see if you have the s-video adapter listed as I am interested in one or some of those also ... lots of Amiga love this year .. wooo hoooo !
