A500 trapdoor expansion

Hello,
If you have been looking in the Oracle room, you might have stumbled upon a rather long thread from yesterday about the A500 with ACA500 fitted and memory usage. The upshot is that I need more RAM really. I've done a bit of reading and have found that various trapdoor upgrades exist with more than the 512k I currently have there. Does anyone have one they would be willing to part with? 1.5MB would be good, 1MB OK. The ACA is apparently "Compatible with existing trapdoor RAM expansions (up to 1.8 MB)" so I don't know whether that means a 2MB wouldn't work or whether the last 200k would be ignored. I'd rather just get one smaller

what exactly are you looking for?

some expansions dont work in other models of 500.

when you say 1mb cards,they are normally for the 500+ and dont really work in the 500.

and some 1.5 mb cards config as 1.5mb of slow-fastmem.and also wont work in the 500+ as it connects to gary via an adaptor.and probably conflicts with onboard memory.


so we would need to know not only what exactly you are looking for but also the machine you have including revision of motherboard.

Well I don't know exactly what I'm looking for, just something to expand the RAM in my 500 (not 500+). I have been looking at http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/search...amiga=500&intf=trap&cat=ram&mid=&base=dec&pid=

there are a lot of things listed there, in various capacities. I guess it's additional Chip RAM I'm after... I liked the look of the A502/4
But I don't really know...

I check the rev of the board a while back, I can't rememebr exactly which it was, but it was a higher number.
