Have you tried cleaning the connectors?
Have you used the FFS of kickstart 2.04? So it could not boot using KS 1.3. You have to include the filesystem in the RDB...
I think, you have the wrong filesystem in the RDB! I had the same problem years ago.
Try the following...
Boot your A500+ with KS2.04 and A590
install the hard disk using oldfilesystem
Install WB 1.3
Boot and watch what happens...
Using the install disk of the A590 and its install tool (which is an early version of the HDInstallTool you find in WB 2.1 and later) you have to choose advanced options and change the file system of the partition to oldfilesystem!![]()

Good, the KS 1.3 Miggy fimds tje disk but cannot work with it.
So put the A590 on a KS 1.3 A500 and make the same process again...
Start with WB 1.3
start the installer from the a590 disk
Change the filesystem again to ofs
Format the partition
Install WB 1.3
And then let's have a look...
By the way, the a590 disk is bootable, I think.
Try this...
