Are you sure? The A590 has a round connector like the CD32 and 1541-II PSU's.

Cut the square plug off, wire a 4-pin DIN up and Robert is your Uncle. Edit: Found the pinouts - my thread was over at EAB. You need a four pin DIN plug and it wires up as follows... Pin 1 - Red (+5v) Pin 2 - Black (0v) Pin 3 - NC Pin 4 - Brown (+12v) White (-12v) - not connected - cut this off and tape the cable over, to prevent a short. I hope that this helps.
