For Sale A600 and A1200 mechanical keyboards, new versions

It's true they do not match exactly but they are really good. Keycaps are just crazy expensive unless you are making plenty and can spread the cost of everything that is different to what the manufacturer currently does. I never notice anything off when I am using mine, only that it does not feel like pushing into cold porridge when I press a key

Also since I had a number of keyswitches left over I did order some more circuit boards and making some more keyboards. Everything outstanding will be finished and mailed out tomorrow.

-Function keys use a font too big, should be smaller, same font height as numbers from keyboard (but not the numeric keypad)

If you want to be so precise – font height used for function keys, Ctrl, Esc, CapsLock, Help, Del and Enter is not the same as digits in row 1, but a bit smaller.

I'm having the chance to look at making the 3D prints better while waiting for some parts to arrive. So far I have combined the A1200 and Commodore side rails into a universal unit, also changed them so that they print with zero supports - huge improvement! Only in terms of how hard it is to make a keyboard though, if you already have the old style it really doesn't work any different except that you can now move a keyboard from one style of case to another without changing anything, no more difference between A1200.net and Commodore/Escom. Also the bottom support has been changed so that there is much less support required during printing and it is easier to remove. Possibly slightly more plastic used but perhaps not considering how large the old, discarded support piece was.

And that's a wrap for 2024! After a full day of printing, taping, soldering, cutting, drilling, cleaning, and wrapping, all keyboards ordered have been sent out.

If you're thinking of buying one I have enough material for about 9 A1200 + 2 A600 (and that's a guess) - but these would be January earliest. After these boards and switches are gone I definitely won't be making more, but pretty soon I will get around to cleaning up the repositories and making them public so you will be able to make your own.

(if I have not left you feedback yet I am getting to it, I am allowed to leave a maximum of 12 feedback per day. Obviously I should have done it earlier.)
