Hi people,
I've got an A600 with 37.300 rom fitted and CF/IDE setup with WB 2.04 installed.
All run fine for more than a year, but suddenly the CF stopped responding and the classic kickstart prompt comes up...
I've ordered a new CF and new a CF/IDE adapter (installed WB etc via PC/WinUAE). But nothing changed...
I even bought a new IDE cbl, but still same results.
I have also changed the rom to 37.350 (just in case ... ) but no good.
The A600 does not recognize the IDE.
By the way, floppy works fine.
What would be the reason for having this fault? Does anyone have any idea?
Could it be a bad capacitor problem, or a dead IDE controller chip ? Is this common?
