Thinking myself handy with a soldering iron I decided to try removing one of the timing caps as this poor little A600 wasn't powering up (Caps lock key and Power light stuck on).
I read not to try twisting the caps off as that could cause damage so I applied heat and melted the old solder. I didn't appreciate just how damn easily the pads could be damaged and guess what? They've come off with the cap.
It's difficult to see from this blurry shot, but the tracks are undamaged. Is there anyone out there can repair this and recap the whole thing in the process?
