I wanted to make my AA3000+ look and feel a little more period correct and I had a badly rusted A3000 case to work with.
So I had the case sandblasted and the top half powder-coated in black, and the front panel cracks and chips filled, then primed and painted with layers of gloss black and clear coated with a matte pearl to give it a durable non-painted look.
The power and drive eject buttons were printed in translucent smoke resin and the LEDs replaced with Sordan's 4-color reproduction to allow more drive activity options.
The PSU was recapped and the fan and grill was upgraded and all other plastics internally were replaced with black PETG reproductions.
BadgeGuy sold me the front and back AA3000+ Badges.
