I designed this board some time ago and assembled two PCBs. I only need one, so the other is free to go.

This mounts on top of the 8132/8164/8232SB/8264SB card by using 5 M3 5mm screws and uses a standard PCIe power connector. It supplies the card with 2.7V/2.9V (@max ~35A) and 3.3V (@max ~14A).
It has been tested using a lab DC load, ripple measured, transient response good, all OK.

The PSU is currently configured to supply 2.9V, if you need it for 2.7V let me know. I can also provide the 5 M3 screws if needed.
You will need some active cooling, both the PSU and the video card get quite toasty.

Price: 0$ + shipping. Would prefer to ship to EU. Will probably ship this in 1-2 weeks as I still need to order the heatsink that will be mounted on the blank PCB area. I'll probably also remove the heatsink plaster and solder the heatpipe directly to the PCB.

The PSU will go to hard1k.
I think I have >10 ~8 blank PCBs left, if anyone is interested in assembling their own board, I'll offer these PCBs for 0$ + shipping. I'll also provide the full project (schematic, PCB layout, bill of materials). All components (except the heatsink) can be ordered from mouser.

2 blank PCBs will go to Batyra

As I've been requested assembly, I might offer fully assembled&tested PSUs if there are enough requests and if you're not in a hurry. I'll provide overall cost the following days.

Update:
The price for a fully assembled&tested PSU is 70E+shipping. The price might get somewhat lower (~60E perhaps, don't know exactly) depending on how many PSU orders are gathered.
If you're interested, let me know how many pcs. and at what output voltage (2V7 or 2V9).
I'll order the components mid next week. Highly unlikely I'll make another batch after this.

And a few pictures under load. There is a nearby fan cooling both the card and the PSU.

Interested!

P.S. I do have an EU shipping address, so no problem there. But still would prefer direct shipping to Russia, if possible. But absolutely don't insist on that either :)

I'm declaring interest in two blank PCBs. I'm also interested in the fully assembled PSU and I can wait for the details of price and time of delivery to be clarified.

Thanks,
G1nX

I'm interested in one 2V7 and two 2V9 tested and working. More details we can discuss via PM.

Thank you

The price for 1 PSU is 62E + shipping. I'll order components later today.

The list is as follows:

@Batyra : 1x PSU + 1 blank PCB, please confirm output voltage
@radu14m : 1x PSU, please confirm output voltage
@G1nX : 2x PSU 2V9, 1x PSU 2V7
@Dr.Zoidberg : 1x PSU 2V9, 1x PSU 2V7

I think this is correct, let me know if I forgot something.

The AA5 PSUs are complete, however, I'll begin shipping probably early next week, as the thermal plaster needs a couple of days to properly cure.

Regarding AA5 2V7/2V9 rails. At some point the 2.7V rail was increased to 2.9V, most likely this was to compensate for the voltage drop on the cables and on the Power Board (you can pictures online of the AA5 power board with blackened traces).
There are also two new LDOs that weren't present on the older cards, so I presumed they are responsible for taking this 2.6-2.9V and providing a stable 2.5V for the VSAs. In fact these just provide VCCINT for the Xilinx FPGAs, while the older cards with Actel ones are probably powered by the 3.3V rail.
The VSA VCORE is directly connected to the 2.9V terminal. This may be fine on the original design, since under load the VSAs would probably get something around 2.6V due to the design of the power delivery system, however, using the PSU in this thread at 2.9V might not be the brightest idea, since this attaches directly to the AA5 board there isn't a significant voltage drop. Under load the VSAs would see around 2.8-2.9V VCORE which is a bit high IMHO.
I also measured the frequency at which the VSAs on my AA5 cards run, and it's 167MHz, so no OC. Maybe the AA5 boards with Toshiba memory clock the VSAs a little bit higher, but I don't have one to confirm.
I would recommend powering both 2.7V and 2.9V cards with 2.7V using this design. Let me know if you are fine with this change or if you still want them set to 2.9V.

Hallo, about the Aalchemy psu module , what power do you need as a power supply to connect it to the board psu, a 500watt is enough?
Thank you
