For sale ACA630 25MHz 32MB Fast.

Very good version to OC.

Images shows tests with 50, 64, 75 & 80MHz oscillators.

Oscillator is mounted in socket what make easier change.

Performance is better when you set up acatune software.

Card I used rarely, mostly from the oscillator 50MHz for fear of overheating the processor.

Added 64MHz oscillator which give 31.5MHz.

ACA630 work very smooth without problems.

Price: 265euro (was 285) + shipping and paypal fees (or paypal gift).
Ask about postage to your country.

hello, i'm not interested as i already have one, only one curiosity: did you test it @80 mhz? i reached 66.66mhz, tried with a 80mhz Osc but no boot :(

Last image shows result when was used 80MHz oscillator. Works fine, 9,4 Mips, I think with acatune (maprom etc) card can be little bit faster (with extra cooling for longer working with 80MHz).

OC a 25Mhz 030 to 40MHz seems a lot to be safe. No problems at all?

I just tested with some oscillators. Maybe in long work time extra cooling is needed. I used card with 25Mhz.

Is it possible to install a 50Mhz 68030 and use it at 50Mhz with the ACA630 ?

I doubt it as the Ram will be well outside spec by then. I never had any problem running mine at 40mhz (I changed the 030 chip for full 030 Gold 40mhz unit to be safe on mine tho)

Thx Steve, do you think ACA630 memory is slower than for example a Blizzard IV with 50 or 60ns memory ?

AFAIK Memory is much faster but due to design of the board it's already running at the limits of it's frequencies to gain the best performance. (I think it runs 2x or 3x clock, you need to ask Jens exactly)

@40mhz this card is a beast already, honestly you will be at the bottleneck of the ECS chipset already and there is little use to having it faster ;)

Ok I see, strange that it was not designed to support natively 50Mhz processors..

I am actually owning the aca620 and wondering if an aca630 would be of any use ?

I would guess (again need to ask Jens to be sure) but high price and lack of 50mhz processors available would have been the driving force to keep the price down.

ACA630 is much faster than ACA620 (33% @25mhz maybe? check some benchmarks vs the two cards for MIPS) and has 3x the amount of Ram, if the work you do on your Amiga needs the extra Ram and processing power then go for it, if you're happy with the speed of the ACA620 and amount of Ram meets you needs then don't, simples :)

There are quite a few threads discussing the various accelerator options for an A600 so probabaly no need to clog up this sale thread anymore.

After a long discussion regarding the overall costs (shipping and paypal) I need to withdraw my interest
