Just thinning out some things I have spare as I am planning on moving home sometime soon. I have this working but incomplete Acorn A7000 machine. It's pretty clean and not too yellowed at all compared to many others. It works but here's what it needs:

  • 5 1/4" bay item (not essential but would tidy the front)
  • Floppy facia missing (drive worked when last tested).
  • PS/2 Keyboard (PC ones work fine, may be able to supply one if req).
  • PS/2 Mouse (again, PC ones work fine, I'm sure I got a spare optical one if req).
  • Battery removed, was showing signs of leakage (motherboard is spotless)/

That's about it. On the plus side it does have i-Cubed network module fitted so you can surf the net or transfer files to you heart's content. It just needs some love and once complete it's a great machine.

Snaps:

Front/top of machine:

Rear of machine:

Asking just £20 + postage.

Thanks for looking.

Hello, not declaring interest, but just a heads up - if you have a hard time getting IDE-CF to work, go for an IDE-SD converter. Acorn's built in IDE interface, certainly in the RiscPC and earlier A30x0 machines, was slightly non-standard and gets quite (randomly) grumpy with some CF cards. Experiences with SD have generally been much better. The A7000 may be better in this regard, but if it isn't, that's the first thing I'd try.

I will have to temporarally close this for the time being. With college and family commitments, I have simply no time to arrange postage, worse still when couriers cant collect on days which I can be sure i'm in.

Apologies for listing this, I had no idea there would be so much life hassle in the way. If I ever get any free time on some weekday in the near future I will be sure to re-open this. Apologies for aonyone waiting for a response.

This is back up an available again.

May be able to supply a PS/2 keyobard and mouse if required.

If you want the hole plugged in with a CD-Rom drive, let me know.

Hi Tokyoracer,
I have sent a PM on 7 August that you do not appear to have received.
I have replied to your PM of 10 August but not received a response.
If you send me a PM with total cost inc. postage and payment method I will pay.
If I pay by PayPal that will give you my address,
There seems to be a problem with Amibay's PM system.
If you can confirm here that you are not getting my PM's I will contact an administrator to investigate the problem.

Machine has arrived and is as described.
I have replaced the battery and floppy drive, added a 1.7Gb HDD, CD-ROM drive, PS2 keyboard and serial mouse.
All is working well.
Thanks,
Ray
