Acorn Archimedes A3000 computer, working, 2 MB ram, battery removed and a 2 AA battery holder installed (there are no batteries in the machine), Castle IDE Podule, IBM WDA-2120 120 MB hard drive, Gotek with OLED display and rotary knob, USB stick with games (you can of course easily add some more). The hard drive is in an antistatic bag and held in place by a rubbberband, I had plans of 3D printing some kind of 'hard drive-holder-thing' but never got around to it. Both plastic clips on the back are intact. When I got the machine myself, the floppy drive was supposed to work, but it never worked for me (it said 'drive empty') so that's why I installed a Gotek instead which works brilliantly, you will get the floppy drive in the sale, maybe you can repair it.
I started the game 'Nebulus' from the Gotek drive and after that 'Alone in the Dark' from hard drive, the copy protection on that game is still intact, so you will have to lookup the codes on the internet as I just did in the screenshot, there is also a Spectrum emulator on the hard drive with a small handful of games, so I started 'Atic Atac' which worked nicely. I tried all the keys and at first I had some problems, so I cleaned the 2 contact cables that go into the motherboard and then all the keys worked except one (the right square bracket ] ) other than that, the machine is really good looking, it is "almost" like new.
What you will get:
1 Acorn Archimedes A3000 computer
1 floppy drive (spare parts or you can try to repair it)
Price is: 800 eur
PayPal Friends & Family or pay the fees.
Shipping from European Union to EU countries, 25 eur.
(UK shipping 40 eur)
I have been collecting retro computers and consoles since 2019, but there are things in my life, that have changed, so I have chosen to sell a part of my collection. I will be putting things up for sale continuously, so keep an eye out for my profile. I have chosen to have only working machines in my collection, so unless I specify otherwise, what I am selling is working - however, these are old retro machines which are generally about 35-40 years old, so there are no guarantees. If I have the right cables, I will try to load up something on the machine, so you can see it working, but I can't test everything - I don't have a printer as an example, so usually I have no idea if the printer port works - if such a port should exist on the machine.
